The Pillar of
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” — John 13:34 (NIV)
Our Commitment
T.L.C.W.E. was not built on talent. It was not built on performance. It was built on love — a deliberate, God-commanded love for one another, for the city of Lansing, and for every person who walks through the doors of any encounter we host.
Love is the second pillar of T.L.C.W.E. because it is the second commandment. We cannot worship a God we have not encountered, and we cannot encounter God authentically while withholding love from the people around us. Our worship rooms are not stages — they are places where love is expressed, extended, and experienced.
This means we serve one another without competition. We honor one another without condition. We show up — not because it is easy, but because love is a choice we make every single time we gather.
ACTS 2:42–47
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer… All the believers were together and had everything in common… They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.”
How It Shows Up
Love at T.L.C.W.E. is not a slogan on a banner — it is the way people are actually treated, from the first rehearsal to the last note of an encounter. It shows up in who gets a ride when their car won't start, who gets checked on when they miss a week, and who gets celebrated when no one else is watching.
Inside the Collective
No competition for the spotlight. Singers, musicians, and intercessors from different churches sharpen each other instead of comparing themselves to each other.
Toward the City
Every encounter is open-handed — built for anyone who walks through the door, not just the people who already belong to one of our partner churches.
